六十周年校慶徽號揭幕儀式

早會時段，舉辦了「六十周年校慶徽號揭幕儀式」，由本校法團校董會辦學團校董楊美娟校長及韓佩儀校長主持儀式，拉開未來一年一系列慶祝活動的序幕。

校慶徽號的設計理念如下﹕

六十周年校慶為鑽禧校慶，因此設計以鑽石為主題，鑽石有永恆之寓意，象徵我校六十年來老師春風化雨、學生茁壯成長的長久歷史。

一直以來我校老師對學生授業解惑，學問之道的教導固然重要，但更重要的是老師所傳之道，這些道就是我校校訓勤樸誠勇及其引伸出來的求學做人的精神及價值觀。

因此校慶徽號中也有四顆與四社顏色相對應的寶石，紅寶石代表勤社、藍寶石代表樸社，綠寶石代表誠社，黃寶石代表勇社。整體象徵六十年來本校師生傳承之道。

徽號的鑽石及寶石都散發光芒，寓意是憧憬我校繼續發揚勤樸誠勇的文化精神，學生的前途與未來充滿希望，同時，相關寶石未經琢磨，意味學生經歷六年培育後可綻放耀眼光芒。

It will be our School’s 60^th anniversary next year.  To acknowledge the flourishing 60 years of Kowloon Tong School (Secondary Section), we have chosen a Diamond to showcase our dedicated, resourceful teachers and our lively, spontaneous students. 

With its eternal quality, the Diamond holds the symbolism of strength and invincibility, which matches our School motto:  Diligence, Simplicity, Sincerity and Courage.  The gemstones representing the four Houses, namely Coral, Sapphire, Emerald and Amber are derived from the values denoted by the motto and these four precious gemstones are put around the Diamond logo to signify the successful preservation of these values throughout the last 60 years.

Students in the School are nurtured and refined during their 6-year education to become responsible and accountable individuals, just like turning a rough diamond into a dazzling gem in the diamond cutting process. 

May the School continue to prosper and sparkle brightly like the Diamond.
